Untitled With Drums

[EN] Formed in 2014, Untitled With Drums is a 5-member band from Clermont-Ferrand, France. Inspired by artists as diverse as Failure, Slint, Cave In, and True Widow, UWD offers a singular genre of alternative rock blending noise sonic elements from the 90s with modern atmospheres borrowed from post-rock and post-hardcore.

After their first self-produced EP, « S/T W/D » (2017), the band recorded their debut album with Serge Morattel at Rec Studio (Geneva, Switzerland), known for his productions with Knut, Ventura, Impure Wilhelmina, and Year of No Light. « Hollow » was released on March 6, 2020, via Seeing Red Records (USA), Araki Records, Brigante Records & Production, and Atypeek Music (FR). The 10-track album, recorded « live » to preserve its raw energy, received excellent critical acclaim and appeared on best-of-2020 lists in New Noise, Guitar Part, and CVLT Nation.

The EP « Symbols » was released digitally on December 1, 2025, via Juggernoise and Atypeek Music. The 4 tracks (« Candle », « Obsolete », « Power », « Far ») represent a transitional work between two albums and two lineups. Recorded at La Voûte (Clermont-Ferrand), mixed by Cyrille Gachet (Year Of No Light, Fange, Pilori), and mastered by Alan Douches (Deftones, Cave In, System Of A Down), the tracks showcase a more direct and metal sound, between Deftones, Superheaven, and Failure, marking the band's evolution toward an even more assertive identity.
